Lykins Park — Attraction in Kentucky

Fireworks this year was outstanding. Great Job!!! I do feel that the Radio hosts whomever you where did a horrible job trying to find the missing child, you should have stopped all dancing and music until the missing child that you kept on announcing between songs and dancing was found period! You did not do your job in helping those parents! Priority should have been missing child not music not dancing!! Your priority was definitely wrong!!!! Parent of this child must have been devastated by your actions!!! As I sure was and couldn’t believe your actions!! If that where my child missing I would have took over your microphone and given the correct name and description of my child and you wouldn’t went on about your show until my child was found… Police never stepped in to try and find the missing child either what a shame!!! Cars where still coming in and going out!!! Missing Child should have come first just sayin!!! I didn’t care for this at all. I’m hoping the child was found safe. These days it’s not safe when in large crowds to lose a child some parents don’t get them back please take missing children more serious during your events as within seconds they could be gone!!! Some Parents should also keep better track of children during big events as well, as my children doesn’t get out of my sight!!! Point blank kids...

We went here for 4th of July fireworkson the 3rd. My husband is a retired army veteran. We had to wait two hours to pull out of the grass when the fireworks were over because no one was directing traffic. There were people out on the road but those were 2 police officers and the rest were just standing and talking not directing traffic. Then people started fighting in the parking lot because everything was so chaotic.. again no one stopped this from happening and cars were cutting people off... there was no order. For fourth of July events there should be special designated military personnel parking and there should be designated people assigned to the lots to actually direct traffic. This could have gotten people hurt. I'd hate to think what all the vets were going through sitting in their cars having to deal with all that chaos when someone them have ptsd. We're celebrating our freedom in our country due to them yet we can't even have the courtesy to think about this kind of stuff on days like that? Love this park! Really cool place for the area. Creek on back side and running through main long side. Few neat bridges. Good sized playground with plenty of equipment. Good amount of swings etc. Skate park located near first parking area. Small but cool. Good for the kids to have an approved place. Tennis and basketball courts. Baseball fields. Restrooms on site. Plenty of grass area for the pets and kids. Trees and various small hills to run and play on. Ample parking. Access to the Lykins Walking Trail. Grass is kept low if you wish to use the whole park to walk/jog/run around. Good lighting for night time use. Park is kept up clean etc. Plenty of garbage cans around that a few people have failed to find apparently. I highly recommend the park and its facilities. Get outside and play any...
