Nolin Lake — Attraction in Kentucky

This lake here is where families can go and have some clean fun with the kids. A lot of people grow up going to Nolin Lake any time of year thanks to family or friends with property on the lake, and they typically spend their whole lives visiting. It is always a great place to have family reunions and celebrations of any size, and during the summer time Nolin lake is the perfect getaway. It is where the young city slickers can escape for the weekend to do a little bit of drinking and partying. It's where folks like to go boating, kayaking, grilling and swimming. The fisherman certainly enjoy it, and honestly there's something for everyone to get out of a trip to Nolin. There is a park, Nolin Lake State Park, where you can hook up campers. There is a roofed picnic area with grills and tables for cooking and eating. It also has a playground with a volleyball courts. I have never personally had any issues with the wardens, just be responsible on the water and don't drive and boat. If you do not act like a moron, you should not have any problems. No one wants to hear about a tragedy all due to one person's foolishness. I have almost lost a friend to a boating accident that was caused by another person's drunkenness. Even with the few close calls, I'm happy to have been able to visit Nolin lake on countless occasions in the company of great friends and families. I whent for a hike did almost every trail. I didn't do the last loop because the mud the scenery was quite bland. For off-season, there were bits of trash out there at the end. I'll be doing omega loop later on, but it was a great hike. Once past water fall loop, it is not for beginners it isn't har, but there's tons of rocks and root, and it's a narrow path with small water crossings. I'm definitely going to be out here a few more times. The lake level as of 12-25 is extremely low based on the last loop, I say, over 100 feet low. Great place for such a variety of outdoor activities. If you are trying to get some fishing in, maybe you want to skip a boat across the top of the water or do some swimming.
