Wow! A "hidden treasure within the Commonwealth of Kentucky. A well- maintained historic site, offering a glimpse into times past, and a peaceful not to mention beautiful setting for an afternoon picnic.

A beautiful part of history. Even if it scared the daylights out of me when the lights snapped on and a man started speaking 😂 But it was really insightful and I'm glad I stayed to listen.

The lady at the office/gift shop was super friendly! Interesting to see the oldest log style church in Kentucky. There were some very interesting grave stones around the church also.

Our family had our reunion at Old Mulkey last weekend and we had a great experience. The shelter house is a great size for family get together. The shelter was well maintained and very clean. The kids playground is right next to the shelter house which is a great feature for parents. The whole area was very clean and maintained. There is also a small graveyard and the Meeting house. I highly recommend this area for any get together. If you are interested they have a shedule you would need to check to...

This is one of the oldest buildings I believe still standing in Kentucky. It's made it through countless storms, tornadoes and that speaks volumes. Enter into the structure and lights automatically turn on and a recorded tape plays a audio description of the history of this place. There is a short 1/8 Mile trail that leads to very old graves. There is several tombstones around the building of civil war soldiers and...

What a pleasure this state muesuem was and maintained impecably. Nice staff, loved property, and they love the place they live and work. There is a marble museum here and this town is known for two food items pork shoulder steak, and a Dovie burger, and a two hundred plus year old ferry that is still in operation. Amazing history here. You won't regret the stop. Be sure to walk and read...
