Ball diamonds and sports fields are up front, and then a neat old train display welcome you to the ther recreation, lake, and shelter areas, driving further you end up in a rear parking lot beside a major creek. You can walk across the old iron bridge, then up the hill to find multiple wooded trails on the right.on the left a complete recreated pioneer village with a furnished one room schoolhouse, log cabins with big porches, a barn and a complete blacksmith shop. Read moreBeautifully maintained. Walk trail is wonderful wth a little creek running throuhg the park. The small rustic love bridge is a must see so are the log cabins. Just up front next to the troop carrier are three big bird cages with bird inside each. I saw an Owl in one...even said hello to me...and an Turkey vulture on another. Go during the day time when you can enjoy the beautiful scenery and will be able to see and photograph the birds..you will love this YELLOW CREEK PARK. I did and so did my three beautiful and adorable nieces...and oh! expect to get wet at the water...
