I’m giving two stars purely for the beauty of the place. I visited last year for the first time and had a wonderful experience picking flowers. We arrived early, and I met the owners near a shed or barn; they kindly handed me a bucket and snips, and after picking my flowers, I paid for my stems without issue.
This year, I brought my daughter along, excited to share the experience. However, as we approached, I was informed there was now an admission fee — something I hadn’t been aware of. (I later found the fee listed online; I’ll admit I didn’t navigate the website thoroughly enough, so that’s on me.)
Still, the situation could have been handled much better. A man — I assume one of the owners — sitting under a shade tent with a group of people, informed me about the fee. As I stood there a bit confused, thinking back to how things went last year, he then joked that I also “owed him” for my previous visit. He and his friends laughed like it was the funniest thing they’d heard all day. It was incredibly rude.
As a fellow gardener who truly appreciates the work and beauty that goes into a place like this, I can’t overlook such disrespect toward a paying customer. I left feeling embarrassed and very disappointed. If you have policies or fees to communicate, that’s completely understandable — but mocking your guests is not the way to do it. It completely ruins the experience and discourages future visits.
I had even mentioned that I was planning to attend their festival in May, but the response I received was just as unfriendly and unwelcoming. Honestly, it left me wondering how they’ve managed to stay open.
I’m a pretty easy-going, flower-loving person who always tries to stay positive — but being laughed at and made into the butt of a joke in front of a crowd isn’t something I’ll tolerate. Very...
Read moreThis was a trip my wife had been dreaming about for a long time, and finally, we made it happen this past Mother’s Day weekend. I’ve never been particularly drawn to flowers and roses, but watching my wife completely enthralled by the vibrant blooms was something special. She was in absolute awe, taking in every color and fragrance with pure joy. We spent the entire day there, soaking in the beauty of the gardens and enjoying quality time together.
To make the day even more memorable, all of our children drove up from our hometown in Georgia to celebrate with their mom. Seeing her surrounded by family, smiling and laughing, made the experience even more meaningful. It was a day filled with love, appreciation, and the kind of moments that remind you why family is everything.
However, one thing that left us—and nearly everyone there—feeling disappointed was the hot air balloon ride. We were excited for the experience and gladly paid the $20 per person, expecting a breathtaking view of the flower farm and the valley below. Unfortunately, the ride was tethered and barely lifted us high enough to get any kind of scenic perspective. In less than two minutes, we were back on the ground, feeling underwhelmed and frankly, shortchanged. For what they’re charging, they should either lower the price to $5 per person or make the ride last longer and go higher to provide a worthwhile experience. At its current setup, we simply cannot recommend it.
Despite the letdown with the hot air balloon, the day itself was unforgettable, and I’m grateful we finally made this...
Read moreGood, family fun. Well kept property. The people who run this operation are just wonderful. You literally feel like you're on someone's family farm-because you are. Good vibes all around. Friendly service. My family and I visited along with a friend and her little one. There was plenty of room to get in there and get some great shots despite there being multiple photographers working. If you want to get some great shots I suggest stalking their Fb page because the flowers continually go in and out of 'bloom' throughout the season. They keep the page updated as to what's happening. There are many chances, however some times of the season are more ideal than others. With us being a mixed group of adults/kids it was so great to have a ride on the tractor (trailer) to make it more entertaining and enjoyable for the littles. We cooled off at the end with some popsicles and ice cream. The prices are more than fair. The fact that they do this day in/day out just so we can have a nice place to take photos, pick flowers and enjoy our family + summer is...
