Galena Lodge — Attraction in Ketchum

This place is a true gem! Open both summer and winter - offering a wide variety of activities that you can participate in.

In the summer, we love stopping by for breakfast/coffee and sitting on the deck enjoying the sunshine. Followed by planning in the lawn with all the pups that come by. The mountain bike trails are phenomenal, and they offer something for everyone.

In the winter we love sneaking in for a coffee (and breakfast burrito! YUM!) whilst enjoying the fire place and folks gearing up for Nordic skiing.

...speaking of, the Nordic trails are pristine! The shop is super helpful and very knowledgeable about where to go per skill level. Be sure to buy a 'pass' for the day so you can enjoy the trails! And, if you are traveling with a dog (like we are) be aware that there are certain trails dogs are and are not allowed on.

No matter the season, the staff remains amazing! They are so friendly!

Galena lodge is awesome with amazing trails and great food, plus the bike repair shop and bike rentals make your vacation stress free and fun.

Good rides for adults and/or kids: "Galena view loop" which is uphill for a very short period in the beginning and then it is all downhill pretty much right after the fork in the trail. This trail is a crowd pleaser and is very fun.

"Rip and tear" is a long uphill if you go up it but if someone drives you up to the top and you ride down it it is very fun and is almost all downhill except for a very small connection trail which connects the trails together and the uphill on that was easy for my 7 year old sibling which is saying something.

"The old toll road" is Miles of fun and with it being all downhill you or/and your kids will love it. It has a slight uphill at the start but yet again my seven year old sibling had no trouble with it and right after that it was...

Spent this morning on their snowshoe trails with my husband and children. The folks at the rental desk were wonderful, especially the young lady. She went out of her way to help us when I needed a strap to better secure our toddler to the sled.

After we finished on the trails, we ate lunch at the restaurant. The food was very tasty and filling. My kids both had the kids burger meal, which were very good size for a children’s menu item. I chose the grown-up grilled cheese at the recommendation of the cashier. My husband just had the fries, and he enjoyed those a lot. We also purchased a generously sized oatmeal raising cookie to split between us and it was one of the best cookies I’ve had!
