HORRIBLE !!! WE WERE STOLEN IN THE GATE WHEN PAYING THE PARK ADMISSION FEE !!! WE WERE THREE CARS. I, THE FIRST CAR, PAID FOR EVERYONE $8 PER PERSON PLUS THE BOAT RAMP FEE OF $ 40. MIND YOU, WE WERE 8 PEOPLE IN TOTAL, AND WE ACTUALLY LEFT THEM A $10 TIP .. THESE TWO INDIVIDUALS HAD THE AUDACITY TO ASKED THE OTHER TWO CARS TO PAY AGAIN, PLUS TIPS AS WELL. THEY WERE AWARE THAT WE WERE ONE GROUP AND THERE WAS NOBODY ELSE WAITING FOR ENTRANCE... THE RAMP WAS AWFUL, FULL OF SEAGRASS, AND SMELLED LIKE ROTTEN FISH. EVEN THE SMALL CIRCLE TO SWIN IN WAS CLOSE. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PARK NOT EVEN TO MY WORSE ENEMY. SAVE YOUR TIME. THEY BOTH BE FIRED FOR BEING SUCH MISERABLE PEOPLE AND HAVING SUCH A LACK OF DECENCY. I WOULD GIVE 0 STARS IF I COULD !!! MOST OF THE PARK IS NOT ACCESSIBLE EITHER AFTER THE HURRICANE; YOU WOULD LITERALLY BE PAYING FOR A KIDS SWIN AND TWO...

It was made clear that my family was unwelcome here today by an employee maintaining the grounds. We drove in with our small 21 foot RV and I asked where would be best to park. He scoffed and told me Omaha. I tried again by saying I see there is parking for trucks with boats and want to take up as little space as possible. There was an RV already there and he said “they’re from New Jersey and I guess they can’t read either”. He told me the park would be closing soon anyway (it closes at dusk and it was 2pm). This continued and he told me I couldn’t have my dog outside which I said I understood and would leave her inside for the short time we’re there. The signs say dogs on leashes are fine as long as not on the sand. He then continued to stare at us to the point where we felt very uncomfortable. Very sad introduction to the keys for us on...

There is a nice, enclosed swimming area that is good for kids. However, when we went today (January 3rd, 2023) there were a TON of little jellyfish in the swimming area. Most were just babies, but their sting can still make you sick especially in kids so that's just something to note. It's very dirty at the moment and needs cleaned up around the waters edge but otherwise is a nice area to take in nature and walk around the water. There is a walk way around the water and a large picnic area. There were two playgrounds and lots of lizards and iguanas running around. My daughter had fun swimming until we noticed all the jellyfish and made her get out of the water. Could just be the time of year, and if it wasn't for that she probably would have enjoyed swimming for awhile. The views are really nice from the walkways and...

This is not much of a beach. I would call it a children's park with some sand. If you are a parent with small children, you will love this place because it has a big play area for kids with sheltered picnic tables close by. The 'beach' is a very narrow strip of sand next to a very shallow lagoon which is separated from the Atlantic Ocean by a barrier of rocks. You can't even walk on the rock platform because it is cordoned off by a fence. (Look at the pictures) There is a boat dock and a small pier for launching small boats too. Of course, you can't swim there. So, the only place to go is the shallow lagoon. If this place had been properly categorized as a children's park instead of a beach, I would have given it a 5. If you go there looking for a beach, like I did, you *will* be disappointed.
