Played Monday morning and the course was amazing. Absolutely perfect conditions to play in. Greens were perfect fairways gorgeous. The staff was fantastic. David in the pro shop was efficient and professional and our starter for the day Mike was great!!! He filled us in on some local knowledge and was great. What was even better was that we got around in three hours and eleven minutes!! That’s the way golf is supposed to be played. We played from the Fazio tees, which made the course play about 6,250 yards. The front nine was relatively calm, the winds didn’t kick up until 9. Nine is the number one handicap hole and luckily the wind was at our backs. A 421 yard monster hole with a visually intimidating view from the tee box as you have to carry water and then there’s water running up the left side. I hit a bomb and was left with a gap wedge in. Hit that to about three feet and birdied the hole and thought, “alright game on” Then we made the turn, and the win came in and the entire course changes. I shot 38 on the front side and struggled to shoot 40 on the back. The wind made every hole a challenge and forced you to think on every shot. Loved the course...

Pulling in after a double gate to go through entrance a very nicely architected beautiful clubhouse... Putting, chipping & flop shot green to the right and then the large range with Titleist balls up to the left... Nice folks in the golf pro shop with a large selection from belts, women's side and men's so plenty of hats, shirts etc etc etc to choose from.... The golf course layout is absolutely beautiful!!!! Overall it's pretty tight and if you miss the rough you'll have ob/red/yellow hazards in play... crocodile's, snakes, turtle's and a variety of birds all over the place... Bonkers were large and we'll placed and the sand was great!! NO 5 STARS AS THE TRAPS AIN'T RAKED MUCH AND INCONSISTENT ON THIN TO HEAVY SAND LIES, GREENS WERE SLOW AND THE BALL DOESN'T ROLL TRUE.... Large greens for the most part, very well built with tons of undulation so many places to put the pins... But they didn't roll true, ball would bounce around and skid instead of roll but that's the grass here so is what it is... No gps in carts but they do have usb ports for charging which...

This course is amazing! As someone who has played nearly a quarter of all Golf Digest Top 100 Public courses, it amazes me that this course did not make the last in recent years. The course is in immaculate shape, even for the end of winter. The course is very scenic and provides a lot of challenge, and provides no ounce of gimmicks. You will be challenged with intimidating shots over water, and tight out of bounds markers. But, you will still appreciate plenty of scorable holes.

The greens are in fantastic shape, however they are just a little on the slower side. Additionally, I was disappointed in the quality of the courses carts, lacking features, jerkiness with the brakes, and I was disappointed to find that on the first hole our tire was completely flat. Lastly, I was very surprised that the clubhouse offers minimal food options on Sundays throughout the entire day. After being offered a microwavable Jimmy Dean sandwich, I was a little turned off.

However, If you have the opportunity to play Osprey Point, I would highly...
