Deer Lake Outdoor Center — Attraction in Killingworth

This piece of land was recently purchased by Pathfinder’s to keep it from being developed. It’s about 250 acres and is a beautiful place for a walk or hike. There’s restrooms and enough parking and is well maintained. The park has some open fields that are good for a stroll etc. There’s also some hiking trails that vary in difficulty and length. Besides the hiking/walking areas there is a lagoon and a lake. It’s a beautiful place in Killingworth. If you're a Scout in CT, then chances are you've been here. This is a great and highly underrated camp. Multiple camp sites, dining hall, lake, hiking trails and more. We've stayed here with our Cub Scouts Pack for "Family Week" (which was excellent and highly recommended!) and now for Boy Scouts. Easily accessible from I-95 N and S.
