We arrived in Mill Creek on our 45’ sailing catamaran (SV Moxie) because we wanted to experience the tasting room at Jayce Vineyards. I reached out to the vineyard via their website. Tommy replied and told what dock to use to get to the winery. He even met us at the dock and gave us a ride in the golf cart to the tasting room. Lucky us, they had a live band and open mic night. We met the owner, Dr Bob Jayce, and all the staff. All of which were very friendly and accommodating.
The wines are grown on the estate so they have the benefit of the terroir. We tasted three whites and three reds. Our fav was the Albariño, especially on this hot afternoon.
We also had the Margherita pizza which was on thin crisp crust. Perfect for a light snack while enjoying the atmosphere. We bought a couple bottles to enjoy later. When we were leaving, Bob drove us back to the dinghy dock.
In short, THIS IS A GEM NOT TO BE MISSED. Everyone there made us feel right at home. We will definitely be passing this spot onto all our...
Read moreAn absolutely gorgeous place! A light dusting of snow on a crisp day was a beautiful addition to the warmth and wonderful service we received when visiting Jacey's Vineyard. Those fallen flakes on the vines were as unique as our experience at this gem of a destination. The charcuterie board was delicious. Our server, Jodi, almost gave me a cavity, for she was far sweeter than even the sweetest wine served. And if Jodi was the icing on the cake, her helper, Jamie, was the sprinkles! These ladies made our visit better than we could have imagined! The tasting is a generous pour, and Jodie described each one impeccably. We had a nice chuckle about a painting of the Eiffel Tower that a patron had turned upside down in the restroom. Good humor makes a great time! We purchased a few of their delightfully flavorful wines to share with friends back home. They have a wonderful group of people here, and I hope we make our way there on our next trip. Thank you all so much for a memorable birthday experience for...
Read more11 AM - 4 PM SATURDAYS ONLY. But WELL worth the experience! Generous, courteous staff (especially Anna!), and a wonderful Virginia wine tasting experience! "Tapas" was a generous plate of antipasto, and for $7 it was well worth the cost and paired very well with the wine. Best malbec I've ever tasted in my life, and the "sweet zinfandel" is extremely unique and mellow without being a dessert wine. The owner was very happy to ask us about our tour and tell us everything we wanted to know about his grapes, which was a lovely experience. Would go 100 more times if I could. Jacey Vineyards wine deserves to be a...
