I had an amazing Unforgettable experience on my road trip in 2014. I met some underwater spear divers who caught several fish including some sheep head fish which I've never seen before and they looked awesome. He also gave me one of their fish I can't remember what kind but I cleaned it and cooked it up later that day. Next I walked around the huge Cliff side to the secret Beach I call it. It's a long strip of coastline beautiful aquamarine colored water. There were huge rocks strewn across the coast and I climbed one. One of the rocks the waves crash upon it and the waves are so huge when they hit it that sprays water everywhere and it's such an amazing sight. I also by myself hiked up the Willow Creek area walking up the creek to a secret pool fed by a small waterfall I was concerned about mountain lions the water was super cold so I didn't dive down to the bottom but I waded in it. There is no Trail and you have to walk down underneath the huge Bridge but I don't think you're supposed to be down there I'm glad I did it cuz I ate my lunch down there but I know people have been down there because I found a pencil on the creekside, my guess was it was either a sketch artist or biologist taking notes. I wouldn't recommend hiking up to this area unless you don't think you'll get caught and if you have skills to be trekking through the woods and tall grasses. I then hiked down the creek all the way down to the ocean, again there is no Trail for this. I would recommend just enjoying the beach around...
Read moreGreat little picnic/day area gem!!! If your riding a motorcycle be careful going down the steep road to the day use area. Especially if your on a big bike or with others on motorcycles.
You can turn around at the bottom but if someone is parked in the turn around area it will make it more difficult.
The creek coming into the ocean was awesome to see. There were lots of flat rocks to skip along the water once you find a lull in the surf. There were lots of tiny dark things in the water that we later found out to be seals or otters.
Bring a lunch and something to drink. Many rocks to sit on and chill...
