Hackberry General Store Route 66 Hackberry, Arizona June 25, 2023
On this road trip, we stopped at one of our favorite places to visit. We always stop here to take photos and get some rest. Of course we always buy souvenirs when we visit. We have been visiting the general store for a while. In fact, I remember the corvette that used to be parked in front of the store. The day we visited Ruben H. Rodarte, the owner of Valentine Station , was working. It's always great to see and speak with him. He is just a great guy. He told us that the store has been very busy, especially from foreign tourists. Of course, I also wanted to see Charlie the cat. He was asleep on the couch, so I just left him alone. It eventually slowed down, and I was able to take some photos of the General Stores.
This is such a unique stop on Route 66 Arizona. It's great to browse through the store. They sell great souvenirs, and we just bought their new color changing coffee cups. The staff members are all great and fun...
Read moreThis was a must stop for us on the rt.66 trip as its a historical stop and landmark. This place has so much historical things inside and outside, they have cold drinks, snacks, restroom and friendly people that work here. I really like how it was decorated and you can see that many people around the world came to visit this place just because of its historical presence. This place is a must stop on your rt.66 trip no matter what, support this place by getting something so thst it can stay open and alive for many generations. This place used to be a old gas station back in the day i believe and was renovated to become what it is today. I highly recommend coming here if your in the area as well and not just...

My friend and I each got some little pieces of memorabilia, and I made great friends with their cat. I was pleased as a peach to see that they had memorabilia magnets with our new friend... I just had to buy it lol. I'm not a big cat fan, but this little mascot stole my heart. We went out of our way to drive the old 66 and I'm so glad we did. It looks just like a movie set. It's ptetty barren out there, but the people are kind + the air is fresh + it's a welcomed quiet from the hustle and bustle of home. You have go add this little stop to your...
