The Community Church — Attraction in Kinnelon

I relocated from Pennsylvania to New Jersey a year ago and before I moved I began searching for a new church and started watching online services. I was immediately drawn to a sermon at community church given by the pastor, Mike Leahy and couldn’t wait to go in person. From the very first time I walked in the church, I felt accepted and welcomed especially by the pastor but also by other church members. It was an easy transition for me and immediately became involved however I could by serving others through the ministry of the church. Sure, I’m biased—I’m the lead pastor:-)—but one of the main reasons I chose to be part of The Community Church is because it was clear from the start: these are people who genuinely want to follow Jesus.

They care deeply about our local community and have a heart for serving globally, especially in places like Haiti and the Dominican Republic, which are close to my family’s heart.

It’s not a perfect church (because it’s full of imperfect people). Still, it's full of genuine, caring individuals who genuinely want to follow Jesus, care for others (especially those who are marginalized), and strive to cultivate a deeper, more meaningful faith.

The Community Church has been a wonderful church home for our family. We always feel so welcomed by the smiling faces that greet us each Sunday! They encourage all members to grow closer to God. Pastor Mike and Mitch’s sermons on Sundays provide all ages with relevant, bible-based lessons that can be applied all week long. There are also many opportunities for building community through life groups and serving others in various outreach programs.
