I used to go the Neuse all the time as a kid. I haven't been in many years but the point I used to go to I was told has become very worn down and that really depresses me because this place is part of my child hood. I haven't been to check it out myself but if it is true...

Great place to take sunset pics or sunrise pics...I go here with my kids...just to take pics...lots of peirs to fish off of...great boating ramps...its called LAWSON...
