A super-fantastic place for a semi-challenging walk/hike.

There are two different sides to enter this Lake Metro Park: either on the S.R. 306 side or the Hobart Road side. I always use the Hobart Road entrance, which has the newly-built pavilion with two fireplaces in it.

If you're looking for a relatively flat waking experience, this is not your park. Go to nearby Gully Brook Park. This park has lots of hills, though none are dangerous, or even particularly challenging (you'll never have to use your hands to steady or pull yourself up). There are some mild stone outcroppings that you'll have to look at while navigating yourself through them, but again, more interesting/fun than physically challenging.

Love this park!! Been going there about 5 times a week for the past 8+ years. If I'm lucky, I'll be doing the same walk till I can't...

The North Chapin Reservation is an absolute gem of a park! I recently visited and was blown away by the beauty of the natural surroundings and the well-maintained facilities. The hiking trails are well-marked and offer breathtaking views of the surrounding wilderness.

One of the highlights of my visit was the lighted trail at night. It was a unique experience to hike through the forest under the soft glow of the trail lights. It felt like I was in a fairytale! I would highly recommend anyone visiting the North Chapin Reservation to take advantage of this incredible opportunity.

Overall, I would highly recommend the North Chapin Reservation to anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable outdoor experience. It's a true hidden gem that should...

Overall a park with plenty of awesome veiws. Some of the scenery in endemic to this park only, as far as metroparks go. This is a geologist dream however, as all the cliffs and large boulders carved out from erosion provide a glance at what lies hidden beneath the surface. Large hills, and big drops can make this park difficult to traverse off trail, but the unique scenery is totally worth it. As this is the only park I've ever seen a royal blue...

Beautiful park, my first time going to this one. Nice, easy hike for the most part. Will definitely be going back. We didn't get to explore too much, we were distracted by the gorgeous sunset over the lake from our nearly perfect vantage point. I will say the only drawback was the fencing being very tall. I'm only 5'2" and had a hard time looking over the fence in certain areas. It didn't stop us from taking photos and enjoying the view tho!

This reservation sits on part of Gildersleeve Mountain. A natural feature that marks the beginning of the Allegheny plateau. The lookout on the northwest side of the summit offers the best view in all of Ohio. The spectacular panorama extends from downtown Cleveland to Willoughby and Mentor and includes Lake Erie. It is a great place to just stop and lose yourself in the view.
