Been living in Kissimmee, FL for 17 years now, this is the first time my husband and I have gone to Pioneer village at Shingle Creek. I must admit, this is my new favorite place. I wish I lived in this timeframe of the Pioneer Village. What awesome views. Brings me back to this time, like The Waltons tv show.

We went here to walk the trails for the first time. We were not disappointed. The scenery is gorgeous. The trails are marked with little signs of a hiker with an arrow pointing direction. There were picnic areas throughout. There were trash cans there also. A small playground at the entrance of Pioneer Village and a bathroom. The trails were hard dirt, cement, and grassy at times. Good for walking. Not loose. Everyone we passed while walking were friendly and said hi, just like the old days when people were friendly towards each other. Not like nowadays. Some had dogs on leashes. The pups looked like they enjoyed being in the woods.

Definitely will...

So I was in town for a conference and had an afternoon off. I decided to go outside and saw that Shingle Creek Regional Park was close by and gave it a try. It is an absolutely beautiful place in the middle of an urban area, like an urban oasis. I went kayaking and it was definitely the highlight of my trip. Absolutely beautiful with very calm waters. Was able to see a bunch of turtles and birds and even saw 2 4-5ft alligators! They didn't even move when we got within 30 ft of them. The person who rented the kayak to me told me to head south first as there was a cyrpus forest that way and it was gorgeous! Afterwards, I went north where the waterway was a bit more open and it was just as beautiful. I would highly recommend this place to anyone...

We LOVE this dog park!! We recently moved to the area and have wanted to bring our boy to the dog park forever now. We were super nervous about the dog park near us in texas because of the height of the fences. But these fences are perfect and tall enough that we don't have to worry about him trying to jump them. The area is an awesome size, but there are a bunch of ant hills and some mud wasp nests in the ground, so it could definitely use a pest treatment before it gets worse so the dogs or owners don't get stung or bit up. Both times we've been there weren't any other dog friends which is upsetting because Koda loves dog friends, but even so he's still able to run and get that young dog...

Take a trip to the Kissimmee dog with us! The Kissimmee Dog Park gets a 6/10 for us; ✅ Separate big / small dog sections ✅ Foot water fountain so you don’t have to touch it 😖🫣 ✅ Plenty of sun ✅ Tons of shade ✅ Benches for the hoomans ✅ Playground, short trials, exercise equipment, grassy areas with picnic tables and grills ✔️ Shrek style bathroom What its missing for us; ❌ No pool or obstacle extras for the dogs ❌ No REAL hooman bathroom ❌ All sand parking lot makes for messy jumps in the car ❌ Trails are very short and quick if you’re looking to walk and play 💕 But overall on of our favorite parks to hit! Have you been here, what are your thoughts / ratings on the Kissimmee dog park ?! #kissimmee #dogpark #dogparks #dogparkratings #kissimmeedogs #orlandoflorida #orlandoparks #kissimmeeparks #championsgate #championsgateflorida #germanshepherd #gsd #dogparkfun #courtneylee #courtneyleehomes #orlando #floridalife #floridaliving #orlandolifestyle #orlandolife #kissimmeeliving #championsgateliving #davenportflorida #celebrationflorida #realtorlife #realtorsoftiktok #orlandorealtors #championsgaterealtor #kissimeerealtor #celebrationrealtor

This park is ehhhh at best. If your in the area and have a puppy with you it worth it. We drove 30 mins to get here and were expecting something else since alot of the pictures on here are of another park. This park has a 1/2 mile walking trail that runs along the side where the street runs. The trail may have somewhere in the past had a paved trail but it has long been reclaimed by nature. All of the exercise machinery has seen better days but most of them work. The Dog park is nice and clean, but we were hoping for a nice open walking area to fit in a 1 to 2 mile walk. Just okay at best definitely not worth a trip.
