This is a geological wonder, and the portion that rises above the water of Crater Lake is only a fraction of its actual height. It stands approximately 170' above the waterline, its 500' long, and 200' wide. This vent is what is left of the core of Mount Mazama. This beautiful geological feature can be viewed from the Phantom Ship Overlook and the Sun Notch Trail. You can also see it from other points along the rim of Crater Lake and the concessionaire...

Really hard to find a flat place to camp and the neighbors were too noisy. I would not recommend...

Really hard to find a flat place to camp and the neighbors were too noisy. I would not recommend camping here.
