I have lived right around the corner from this park for two years and have walked here probably 100 times. Surprisingly nice, aesthetic, well maintained and relatively untraveled park. Nothing too crazy, just a nice quiet place for how close it is to downtown with some cool views, good foliage in the fall, photo ops and some easily walkable fun trails. Maybe not a must go for someone in town for a day, but perfect park for the space its in for a good exploration or picnic.

A beautiful view! Unfortunately the trail to get to the lookout is absolutely littered with trash. There’s not only physically trash everywhere, but there’s also graffiti everywhere as well. I wish people cared more about their surroundings. On a positive note, it’s still worth the trip to see the view.

So I had to walk what seemed like forever uphill at least half the way on loose asphalt. I saw this park and someone else stated there were rocking chairs at the summit. Well clearly who ever wrote that never crested the hill because these were boring non rocking chairs. More Adirondack style but not as low but I digress. Also don’t visit anytime during anytime when trees have leaves because you won’t see a thing. In short I feel this was less than awe inspiring. I’m almost a grandpa and this really was hard on...

This is a quiet park to take a walk and learn a little history while you're there. There is a hard pack surface trail and a dirt trail. The more formal trail leads to a patio with a few Adirondack chairs and cool views of the city during the winter months (leaves are gone to reveal the view). There are signs that describe historical features in the landscape from civil war days. It's not a long trail but it is...
