Fort Fisher — Attraction in Kure Beach

What a beautiful beach! Stop at the pavilion just before the 4x4 beach to get a pass. $20 as of June 2025. Drive for as long or as short as you want, there are stretches with people and without. Deflate your tires to 15-20 psi so they float on the sand. Bring your own air pump as there are no facilities for that anywhere on the beach. No food trucks either, although we did get some Italian Ice from a vendor...

We always vacation after Labor Day, so we were there during "local's Summer" lol. We almost had the entire beach to ourselves! There were maybe 3-4 other vehicles and they weren't anywhere close to us or to each other. We loved it! We'll be back this year and many more...
