First off let me tell you! This road my friends is NOT I repeat NOT a joke!!!! We went on a sunny, windy, day and I couldn’t even image if it was wet and muddy! It would have been 20 times worse. This road was the rockiest, bumpiest road I have ever been on. (6 people included) Legit we almost lost our uteruses on this road!! We jumped out of our seats every 5 seconds! This would NOT have been fun with kids AT all!!! I recommend a TRUCK/Jeep with AC, great tires, KEEP the windows up, don’t open a full drink, and make sure you wear a helmet so if your head hits the roof you’ll survive it. (You’ll need a chiropractor/massage the next day) It took us 3 hours to get to the beach and back!! We went 5 miles an hour for 6 miles!!! It was definitely not a quick trip! At the end there is a pretty beach BUT too windy to stay and hang! (Remember your path back) Also watch for thorns if you pee in the bushes! All and all if you want a great, pee your pants experience, THIS road is the one for you!!! We still had a blast BUT boy did we underestimate that road!! Lanai- 1 , 7 women (who gave birth to many...

It was about a 20/30 minute bumpy ride from the Sensei resort. I recommend that you find someone to drive you there that knows the road. There were no signs until you get to the place so if you haven’t been there, it’s hard to gauge.
If it’s raining and muddy, be warned. You might get stuck in the mud. There were not an inch of paved road.
All in all, it was great. Windy but an awesome view. You can see all the surrounding islands and you can touch the clouds if it’s low enough.
There’s no place like it on earth. Check out the...
Read moreWe rented a Jeep and took the small dirt trail to visit the Garden of the Gods. It was a fun family activity and I highly recommend to anyone looking to do a little touring while on the island. The trail is pretty rugged and soft in a few spots so a vehicle with high clearance and four wheel drive is a must. The road also gets very narrow in spots with some blind corners so the responsible driving rules of avoiding excessive speed and distracted driving definitely apply. We took our trip when it was very dry which I believe to be preferred. I think I would avoid driving the trail after a strong rain or any series of weather events that...
