Need 4x4. Head towards Shipwreck Beach, go right instead of left. We experienced mud, flooded & impassible roads. Winch or similar could be useful. Old Club does have pier & beach... dilapidated shack, No amenities. Whale watching 👍👍
On the way there is an unused Church, fairly recent construction. Odd, but Hey! Sleep on floor out of weather.

Read moreVery run down at this point. The water was a bit murky as well, while most the beaches nearby are more clear. Could have been the currents at the time, it did appear to just be sand making it murky. The club area buildings are falling apart. The pier is dangerous for sure and has a number of rotting boards. Perhaps someone will renovate it - but until then its interesting to visit and look at, but I wouldn't spend...

Only thing that possibly could make it any better, turn it into a camping destination. So many great hidden gems on that side...
