Polihua Beach — Attraction in Lānaʻi

If you are on Lanai, this is a must-see. My family and I are from Maui and now live near San Diego/Coronado, so we are very familiar with beautiful beaches. This beach blew my mind with the different sand throughout the surf as well as clear blue water and visibility for snorkeling/diving. Absolutely gorgeous! Rough road getting there. Gets significantly rough as we got down. Please only go in a 4wd vehicle and only when it’s dry out. We chickened out on the drive w/ a mile left and walked the rest of the way. That said, beautiful beach with no one around. Nice long walk along the beach and uphill hike back to the car. The trail going down is extremely rugged. It's really too much crawling at 2mph for over an hour to really get out and enjoy. Beach is course sand that whips in your face due to trade winds. Water is very dangerous and not swimable at all. Sidewalls on a tire also breached using care and caution.
