Definitely recommend renting a Jeep or other 4x4 vehicle to drive all the way to the beach. If you rent from 808 Day Trip then you are not allowed to drive past the end of Keomuku Road and you must walk the rest of the way. Guides online give differing accounts of how long the hike takes, but for us it was 4 hours round trip and we went at a brisk pace. This is 4 hours walking in the baking sun, with the whipping wind buffeting you with dust and sand. Plus, the area you have to leave your car is sketchy and has abandoned husks of other cars that were stripped for parts.

@Graham Tranter can you stop spreading misinformation in your reviews? The ship here was not “unsuccessfully sunk” but intentionally run aground on the reef. The Garden of the Gods on this island was not used by NASA to simulate Mars. The winds at the Nu’uanu Pali Lookout do not get strong enough to blow over vehicles, but they can lift people off their feet. Not to mention the nonsense you’re spouting in your reviews of Iceland locations. Maybe you should stop listening to your tour guides who are just BSing you to make an interesting story and do the...

This is a very unique and interesting beach. You will see a World War II ship that they attempted to sink but was unsuccessful, landing the ship in the coral reefs to be permanently fixed for years to stay. To get a great view of the ship, you will need to be prepared to do some hiking through some rough terrain and grown up shrubbery and large rocks. The beach is not a tourist beach you may be accustomed to but we could see for miles with not a soul in sight. That's right, we had the beach to ourselves. It was surreal to be out there all alone with such a beautiful view of Molokai'i. A must...

A short and bumpy ride from the Garden of the Gods brought us to shipwreck beach, wherein the distance we could see the remains of a ship that was purposefully, but unsuccessfully sunk during WWII. Off in the far distance, Moloka'i is visible to the north and Maui to the East. On our visit, we saw several sea turtles just yards offshore...

Imagine… freediving in the middle of the Atlantic ocean, but in the pool of a sunken ship from 1981. 😬🤯🤿👋🏻 This is a shipwreck of a cargo ship that got stranded on this beach in the ‘80. The boat is huge and just one part of it is still above the water. It got broken in two, at some point, so the whole front part is underwater near by. Diving around and in it, was a super crazy experience, but this dive is very dangerous and not to be performed without right knowledge and experience in shipwreck diving, because of many rusty parts that are falling apart and currents of the ocean that can suck you in / out of the ship through the wholes in it. .
