Absolutely gorgeous. This reminded me of what you'd find out in the Appalachians just without the mountains. Gorgeous hike, wasn't hard. Beautiful views. The best is cliff jumping further down the trail at the lower falls. Couldn't touch bottom once I hit the water. Wish there was stuff like this in the Lower Peninsula to go to. Very clean too. Nobody leaves their garbage laying around or cigarette butts. Need to keep...

Neat little hike about an hour north of Iron River, MI. The first part of the hike was pretty crowded. The trail is super easy to follow and accessible (we saw one person in a wheelchair with assistance and several others with mobility aids). Past the falls, the number of people thinned out quite a bit. Lots of areas to get down by the water and explore. Overall,...

Parking for the falls is right at the rest stop. Bathrooms and picnic tables make for a great lunch stop with a scenic walk to stretch the legs. We only hiked the trail until just past the falls where the trail veers away from the river and into the forest. The initial hill down to the river is well maintained and the falls are only about 1/2 mile from the parking lot. I do recommend sturdy shoes. Bug protection is pretty important during summer months in order to fully enjoy the hike.
