Due to unfortunate circumstances that prevented me from visiting Rohan Meadery, I was unable to do business with them. I want to caution prospective patrons against making the same mistake I did. My disappointing experience can be summarized in two critical aspects of a positive customer experience: empathy and accountability.
As a prospective customer, I expected the business to demonstrate empathy in response to an incident that occurred on their property. Instead, John Rohan chose to shift the burden of blame onto me as a prospective customer. This lack of empathy is not the kind of behavior I, or anyone else, should have to deal with when considering doing business.
The second failure lies in accountability. If an incident occurs on your property as a result of your animals causing harm, it is the responsibility of the business to take ownership, not to dismiss or deflect involvement.
While Rohan Meadery’s product may taste fine, no product can compensate for a business’s failure to master the fundamentals of providing an excellent customer experience. Unfortunately, Rohan Meadery misses the mark on empathy and accountability, as well as other characteristics they are likely aware of.

Read moreI recently joined Rohan’s wine club (or mead club) and received my first installment - a tart cherry cranberry mead and a mellow sweet apple honey mead. Both absolutely delicious representations of their Czech-style mead. If you’ve tried mead from the grocery store or wine store, forget that experience — Rohan is a superior quality. Pre COVID I used to take my mother there for Mother’s Day (the pizza is unreal), and I always enjoyed how the Rohan’s would come ‘round the tables on their patio to answer questions and discuss mead. They are passionate about ecologically responsible beekeeping, and their passion is tasted in their wines. The farm itself is beautiful and so relaxing with the soft folk music often played in the seating area. It’s truly a unique experience to visit, and if you’ve visited the basic hill country “tour bus” wineries, you’ll immediately feel that difference when visiting Rohan. Try them out if you enjoy a smooth taste of...

We have traveled to Canada, Mexico and lived in the Pacific northwest from 2019 to 2021 and this is the best mead I have bought. Canada mead was close at a 3 star to this place and Mexico is not even close. We have been living out of the USA for a while now and I look for mead everywhere! Nothing I have sought after has tasted as good as Rohan. This place is the best so far!
Original post Where to start!!! The farm is awesome, the people are super friendly and welcoming. We lived in Conroe, TX and loved the drive over. The Mead is on another level of flavor and freshness. The farm animals wondering around were a huge hit with our kids. With happy kids you get happy parents!! The sheep roam around freely with the chickens and the farm dog along with geese. They are also growing grapes for your wine lovers. Only issue is they can't ship outside the state. Bummer for us because...
