We actually didn’t plan to hike this trail but glad we did. Lively wildlife with lots of birds, frogs, rabbits. Creek water crossings (be careful when it rains, you can tell it can get flooded easily). For those that are rock hounds and enjoy geology, I recommend waking right along the creek (trail is right next to it). Also, easily accessible for photographers that want to shoot portraits. I was also surprised by the variety of plant life. Oaks and eucalyptus trees within a few hundred feet of each other. There’s a swing, currently along the trail (Dec 2018). Read moreWent to Bonelli Park in San Dimas just off the 57 Freeway @ the Via Verde offramp(Same offramp as Raging Waters. After 5 pm Monday - Friday it's free to enter the park and it closes at 8 pm!! Prior to 5 pm it costs $12.00 to enter per vehicle unless you are handicapped with a placard. Very peaceful relaxing time to go for a walk, sit by the lake and enjoy the ducks & geese!! Great place to unwind and feel a calm breeze!! Read moreGreat place to hike with the family. Keep a close eye on young children and pets. Lots of fast riders. If you're running with headphones in, don't be shocked when a fast rider flies past you and scares you.
To all fast riders, watch out for families, their children, their pets, as well as horses. You're out there to have fun, not to crash into people. Call out your passes and be patient for the headphone users.
Remember folks, if it's bigger than you, give way. Peds give way to bikes, bikes give way to horses.
