The people directing traffic were extremely rude to the point of aggression. My husband and I made a wrong turn, and the guy directing traffic literally jumped in front of the car and said "You think you're going to cut in line right in front of me after all these people have been waiting?!" He was yelling, practically screaming, and he put his face, unmasked, an inch away from my husband's. We said we had no intention of cutting in line and asked for directions. He repeatedly said he didn't know and kept saying he "wasn't going to let us cut in line" even after we made it clear we weren't trying to cut in line and were asking for directions. It has a lake with places to watch duck and geese, including a deck over the edge of the lake and lots of shady grassy area. You may also fish the lake, with a permit and following the current posted guidelines as you walk/drive up. There is a walking path with occasional "world workout" challenges.
There is a moderately sized playground areas with sections for different age groups... slides, swings, etc. (Mommy and me swing and handicapped swings too.)
In the summer, there is a splashpad area.
In the winter, park is only used in evenings for a Christmas...
Read moreThis park has a very large area to spend time in, and lots of here-and-there light workout stops. The only issue I noticed is:, I understand it is a park but, many of the patrons do not care about the road.... they will walk in front of any car, no matter how slow or fast you are going and not look to see if any car is coming.! So, drive slow as you will be liable if you hit a walker (with or without babies and small children) and it almost seems as if the walkers want to own the road even though there are sidewalks and other areas to walk. Yes, it's a park but, a road is still a road no matter...
