Before taking your kids, please read this. We were having a wonderful family day picking apples with a couple other families today when one of the young kids threw an apple, which most of us were unaware had even happened. But I guess the apple had hit the barn (absolutely no damage, the child was 6 yrs old and his father corrected him about it). A man came out of the barn asking if we thought it was ok to vandalize and we thought he was kidding and that maybe he knew someone in our group and was messin around. We were were all quiet and were wondering what was going on and if he was joking but then he started screaming at us to get off the property immediately and leave the apples we had just picked. We were all still speechless except the kid’s dad who was trying to apologize. The man was exploding with anger yelling at us with all our young kids present and was clearly unable to be reasoned with so we did not even try. The response was absolutely uncalled for and disproportionate to the small wrong that had been done by a child. Should the kid have thrown the apple? No. But is that how a grown adult employee should respond? Also no. It would have been fine for him to come out and tell the kid no throwing apples. Instead my 4 year old is looking terrified asking me if that man is a bad man. So then we informed the staff inside of the incident. They seemed to only back up the employee and gave a half hearted apology. They allowed us to pay for and keep the apples we had picked (which we only did to not disappoint the kids), but we absolutely chose to leave and find another farm that was actually family friendly to spend the day. We had to have difficult conversations along the way with our kids about adults to be aware of. And we responded to our 4 yr old that even though the man did a mean wrong thing in that moment, it doesn’t mean he is a bad person. But at the same time, the man was wrong and exhibiting behavior that warrants caution and meant possible danger - Not exactly the convo we had planned for our fun fam fall day, but one that became necessary nonetheless. It was disappointing in many ways. Needless to say, our trip there was a one and done deal. We will never go back. And we will spread the word in our circles to not go there. We did not feel safe,...

I ABSOLUTELY Love this place. Anytime I am in Medina, and have the time to stop, I do. I know I will always find something I like here. They have fresh produce, the farm meats, they do their own pickles, salsa’s, jelly, jams, etc. They have Amish baked goods. They have snack meat, different candies, spices that are homemade (I love the ones for Steak), plants/flowers in the greenhouse. They even carry homemade scented soaps. I know there is a lot more, but I didn’t want to spend forever trying to list them out lol.
If you are ever in Medina, OH, I highly recommend trying these guys out. They truly...
Read moreCame here on a Saturday afternoon to pick some apples from their orchard. The retail store items they offer are very well stocked with quality items but this was the best part of the farm. The orchard was very very disappointing. We were told that the season wasn't great which is out of anybody's control but we were also told to "pick the apples off the ground". I'm no apple picking expert but I'm not picking apples off the ground to then be consumed. We left immediately after being told this. Geig's Orchard (about 10 mins away) was much much better and they appeared to have a...
