Our daughter absolutely loves Highland Cows, and we saw this place in Tik Tok and made reservations to go! And well worth it would be an understatement! We were greeted by the husband in the family who was absolutely amazing to talk to and interact with and hear their story more in depth, he was very humble, and a class act in my book. Then we met the wife, and she was just the same, and could tell they both love what the do and definitely in our experience, made the trip even better! The animals are very well taken care of and maintained, we were able to bottle feed a couple of the cows, feed treats to some of the other animals as well as the full grown Highland Cows. Our daughter was just in heaven! They even let us bring a cake that she got to feed "Bonnie" with and she had a blast, Bonnie even smeared cake on her face! It turned out to be one of the best things we have done in quite a while. We all had a blast, 5 of us total! I highly recommend visiting their farm, getting to see and touch the animals, but even more so meeting these wonderful people who run it! Their Facebook page does have listings of events they have and they also make & sell T-Shirts. It was truly an honor for our family to...
Read moreStopped in at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds today with my family and they had a little vendor spot set up with a pen that had a highland cow in it. We stepped closer to the pen but out of the way of the other people around to look at the highland cow a little closer (I have never seen on in person and absolutely adore them). While we were looking the man working in the pen asked my husband and I if we were coming into the petting pen rather rudely and we stated no we just were looking and he advised us in a hateful tone that this was for paying customers only and pointed at a table that was further back and stated we needed to go behind it. It was embarrassing and infront of the people that was around and just shocked us especially since it was infront of children including our own child. Again, I adore the cows and was planning to purchase a cute bag they had on the table with a highland cow after just getting a good look in person but the way he spoke to us (which looking on the page is one of the owners) we just turned around and left. I don’t understand why someone would want to be a vendor for a fairground and talk...
Read moreStarr gave me and my boyfriend a wonderful tour this past Monday (3/17/2025). We really enjoyed our time at the farm. We were also able to book without planning ahead of time - booked on Saturday for a tour 2 days later, which was really convenient.
We came for the Highland calves, which were of course adorable and so so sweet, but I really fell in love with baby Olaf, a kid born 5 days before our tour 👶
Blessing Creek Farm is also not too far from other travel destinations - we were able to drive to our next stop (Cloudland Canyon State Park) in a reasonable amount of time.
We loved our time at Blessing Creek - thank you...
