Scenic, wide, 2-mile point-to-point trail (approximately 4 miles if done out-and-back) that feels somewhat secluded at times despite running behind residents' homes. The hike is mostly flat with some sections of brief incline or decline, depending on the direction from which you take it. I would recommend hiking from North to South for the most scenic views. Though you are walking parallel to the coastline (albeit at a distance), the sea is not always visible. However, approximately halfway through, the valley scenery gives way to views...

What an amazing view! This is an easy trail, very walkable, or bikeable. It's about 1 1/2 miles from the street parking area on Pacific Island, to the area where it starts to turn down to Alicia. So it's a great 3 mile walk/jog/bike. There are great views the whole way (mostly valley with some ocean ad well). The trail is wide and packed dirt. It's mostly flat with a couple inclines that are noticeable. Easy, and a nice view the whole way with many nice houses to check...

It's a 2-mile gravel path that runs along the backside of a neighborhood looking down into a canyon. If you wish to hike (walk) the entire path and make a round trip, I suggest starting at the lower (northern) end and walking up hill so that your return journey is much easier as you finish. It's not overly difficult going up hill, but after about mile 2 you'll be happier going downhill instead...

It is easy trial but if you like to enjoy a great view and also hike for almost one and half hour, Aliso Summit Trail is good choice. I went there Feb 1 and the weather was higher than another days because of ocean most time the wind from ocean side below. You can bring your dog. You have great view from ocean and hills. Totally I enjoyed and I recommend it to anyone else.

I parked on Ridgeview Drive and enjoyed the views from dusk to sunset. The trail is engrossing as you enjoy the changing light, but after sunset it is really dangerous without lights. The walk ends with a night view of the city. No restrooms, no place to hide. We learned about the dangers of nature. It was fun. Next time I will bring a change of clothes.

Beautiful scenery, wide roads facilitate distancing. Good steep hills call for awareness when riding bikes as they catch speed quick and it's dirt. Some bumps installed at the end (or start) for safety. There's no good downhill without a good uphill that needs a bike with gears, but even that can be tough.
