Puerto Rico is a beautiful, physically blessed island all around. It does not matter where you go, the land formations, beaches, plants, rain forest, animals, vegetation combined with the rich history of different cultures that you can see in traditions, buildings architectures, etc. creates an environment of people, idiosyncrasy, way of living that gives the personality to this little island and it's people. The island is rich in music, art, cosine, and all kind of other activities. Be careful though and do not idealize: there are many dangeraus areas that has to be avoided and like everywhere else, you need to be prepared when traveling and exploring. But, I can tell you that, no matter where you go in P.R. ; from the rich neighborhoods to the poorest areas or barrios, you always will encounter beautiful (in the inside), humble people that will go to extremes to help you. That's...

There are so many things to do and see here. You've got the lighthouse, many many cliffs on which to take beautiful pictures from, and of course... The beaches. The most obvious is La Playuela, which you can see from the lighthouse and is the most beautiful beach I've ever seen. It's a very long beach, so there's plenty of space. On some days the water is calm and excellent for swimming, on others the waves can get pretty large. It was rough on the day we went there, but that didn't stop anyone from going it and enjoying themselves on the waves (just be careful close to shore because the cresting waves will knock you over.) I only regret not bringing a body board for those waves.

Parking is very limited so get here early. And if you absolutely love your car, just be warned. The dirt road into the park is terrible and littered...

First thing first the Bosque Estatal de Boquerón is in the city limits of Lajas and Cabo Rojo. The lights house photos are NoT from there, actually most photos are not from this place, those are more of the areas around it. It's a great place to go kayaking or paddle boarding, there is a lot of marine life. You may need insects repellent and water. There's no one there just wild life so be safe and don't leave your...

Absolutely one of the best spots. It's hot and dry there, so take water to drink. Plenty of easy hiking looping hiking trails. The access road is bumpy but doable. We walked but other cars did make it to the parking lot. Don't miss the awesome cove beach to the left of lighthouse parking lot. Google has this spot listed at 2 different locations. You want to use the Cabo Rojo location.
