Lacassine National Wildlife Refuge — Attraction in Lake Arthur

Although I'm originally from Lake Arthur, Louisiana, I can't say that I've visited this place on any occasions...maybe my reasons are that I see that type of landscape (swamps, marshes, rivers, & etc. constantly on a daily basis; wherefore, for me has become somewhat methodically repetitious in a stagnant sort of way leaving me destitute desiring/longing for better terrain within this vast beautiful country of United States. Overall, I have chosen to give this survey a positive 4 plus rating & would highly recommend this recreational spot to family, friends, locals of their community, or out of state/town strangers seeking a beautiful quiet resting place/atmosphere. I've relocated to deep West Texas quite a few years ago, not really missing out on all that type of...

Had fun and caught a reasonable amount of fish...on the negative side: no restrooms available was really frustrating...had teen girls who needed the bathroom..we were thirsty and could not drink for fear that we would need a restroom...also, no trash cans...also more space needs to be opened up so people can bank fish...frustrating fighting for the few good places to bank fish..plenty of place to fish if u have a boat...it really needs to be a great place to bring kids to fish...we need more bank fishing area in order to do this...boat people really have the great advantage. We love going to Lacassine..just wish it was more "regular"...

Beautiful scenery without anyone to screw it up. My wife and I took our pets and had a wonderful time. There wasn't many visitors so it was well time spent alone with the family.
