Olustee Beach — Attraction in Lake City

My son and I were going to go fishing around Olustee Beach area. Going down the road to the $5 pay area, a short little Park Ranger pulled into an area so she can catch someone speeding or something else. I was going between 33-38 miles an hour. Slow enough for me to see her truck perfectly when she decided to roll up on me. There is no one at the circle to pay, so you have to be on the honor system. She said I was flying past her ( at 33-38 miles an hour) and didn't stop to pay. She ran my license like a good little tyrant, so beware of Miss Priss. She seems a bit controlling...

We came and brought the dog to walk around not swim and I really enjoyed the park. It was such a nice day and it is a beautiful place to have a picnic or hang out with the family.

Could have been a little better maintained, the grass was a little taller on the swing set so I was unable to use it (I walk with a cane and I'm a little too wobbly to be walking through tall grass). But it had just rained recently obviously based on how wet everything was and this is Florida things...

I love coming here with my daughter and going out on our inflatable paddleboat. The lake is big enough you don't have to worry about getting run into by anyone else. Great place to take your boat out and bring the kids. I thought they used to have a playground which I was excited to take my daughter to, but I didn't see it this last visit, which is why they've lost one star. Regardless, they have grills to cook on and a roped off swimming area...
