Canyon Hills Community Park in Lake Elsinore offers a Splash Pad right next to a set of reserved party shelter areas with bbq access and across from a playground to keep an easy eye on the children. This was my 1st time being hired to paint faces here and I absolutely Loved it. I took a little boom box to play music. They fed me with so much foid from chips, soda, water and chips to watermelon, avocado, ceviche tostadas and Lumpia. I tried to kindly decline, but how can I say no over and over. All delicious! 😋 They even asked me to stay an extra hour overtime. THEN, a couple at the party hired me on the spot for an upcoming party in Winchester. Fun day! #lakeelsinore #winchesterca #parkparty #familyparty #partykids #foxface #butterflyfacepaint #menifeecalifornia #murrietaca #kidspartyideas

I’ve visited this park several times over the years. Our family has truly enjoyed this park and I’m always looking for activities we can do as a family for free, as having 8 kids can be quite costly, so free is always best. This park has always been very clean and it is surrounded by families from Canyon Hills Lake, so it isn’t littered with the homeless like some other parks located in Lake Elsinore, so this already gives this park a leg up. Currently, right now though there is a lot of renovations being done. Like installation of soccer fields and such, so they have cut off a lot of the park, but thinking positively it is just expanding and in time will prove to be a huge positive experience, especially for families. A few great positives, a great splash pad with shade for parents, two separate parks to play on, lot of grass to play on and they have park shelters you can rent a few weeks in advance. Price is fair, especially if you’re hosting a large event like a party or a church function, but make sure to reserve with a month or so in advance to get a prime location. All in all, bring snacks and plenty of sunblock, but be ready for a great day for the kids. Hopes this info help you and yours! Until next time! Have a great summer mom and dad’s.

The best place to come if your kiddos aren’t ready for a full blown pool experience. We have 3 so sometimes the pool is too much but splash pads are more relaxing for parents of kids that can’t swim unassisted. We also Always take the baby’s to the splash pads to get them use to the water. This is a hidden gem and felt like it took a while to get here. Once you come enough it will be second nature. Didn’t seem crowded and I loved that people had easy-ups and in a sense camped out and fully enjoyed the location. Parking was good and seemed plentiful. The play structure has shade which is awesome but it also has wood chips, So closed toe shoes are a must. But those chips even get in there sometimes. Overalll its a lovely hangout place.

This park has great options for all ages. There is ample shade in the hot months, a splash pad, swings, two different playgrounds, and many areas for sports and recreation. In addition, there are basketball courts and a dog park. The bathrooms are decently clean and the overall atmosphere of the park is tidy. One thing that could use improvement is the lighting at night. The walking areas of the park are greatly lit up at night, but the equipment is not lit up enough. If the park doesn’t close until after dark, it doesn’t make sense that the playground equipment is left unlit. In the summer months, spending an evening at this park is marvelous, but having some more light at the playground areas would really be the icing on the cake since it’s much cooler when the sun goes down. It would also be nice if the swings had shade as they get insanely hot during the day with the sun beating down on them. It makes them unusable. This is a common issue with all the parks in the area, though, and it baffles me. We live in SoCal! It’s friggen hot during the summer. Plastic, metal, and rubber get hot. The slides are a real skin-burner, too, with the sun beating down on them, but they do have some shade. Other than that, it’s...

Great place to go with the family. The kids and grandkids love going there all year around. During the summer they have the splash pad and you can take your für Babies to the dog park! My daughter even brings her kittenand he loves hanging out there with her chihuahua Snorlax while the kids get wet and the teenagers hang out! They have benches to eat at with bbq's and you can reserve the for special events such as b-days and baby showers for example. We did a baby shower for two of my daughter's there and also a birthday party for my grandson. They have baseball field and soccer and basketball courts as well. The restrooms are pretty clean and always parking available. Hiking trails, jungle gyms and play areas for children...
