It’s an okay park that would probably be a really great place to go —but only for folks who are not seeking anything akin to a peaceful experience in nature. Judging by my recent visit anyways —as it was marked by the mini roars 5 volt engines make in those kid cars that are made to resemble adult vehicles (increasingly being “souped up” with high performance lithium batteries from power tools). Throughout our visit these were being driven all over (grass, paved area, walking path, etc.) by who I’m assuming are the children who live in the homes adjacent or near to the park (as no vehicles large enough to transport them were in or near the parking lot). Like, it’s cool your kids are having a great time & get to ride their motorized vehicles here like it’s your personal publicly subsidized backyard, but how about waiting to take these opportunities when park use is low? Not only because these vehicles are loud and your kids are narrowly missing seniors and pets using the paths, but also because I don’t think it’s polite to let young children loose to drive them on the walking paths at all —especially on days when the park is experiencing increased numbers of visitors. I take no issue with children owning these, my kids had them too. My issue is that this is a public space that others should also be able to enjoy —without hoping their leashed dogs aren’t forced into playing Frogger with a Barbie jeep being driven by someone with a koolaid mustache who is not being taught healthy ways to share the world...
Read moreThis is an awesome neighborhood park! It's not very big and the parking lot can get crowded but the layout makes it feel very spacious. There's one main loop that goes around the playground, basketball court, field and tennis courts. There's quite a few little offshoots and tucked away alcoves though. Note a lot of the offshoots end up on a road and don't necessarily loop back into the park. You can also do a much bigger loop around the water reservoir. So it's a great park for a lot of varied activities! There are also lots of blackberries in the summer and...
Read moreDecent little park, though not exactly the best I've ever seen. For what it is, though, it's fine. The main downside is a porta potty instead of a real bathroom. On the other hand, it was wheelchair accessible, almost unheard of. There was also at least one wheelchair accessible picnic table.
Nota lot to argue with, really, and an extremely pleasant place to read a book for several hours. I'd rate it 4.5 stars if I could. The porta potty thing strikes me as a rather cheap cop out for the city, frankly. Still, I've...
