I found out that Forest Park beach went from charging $15/weekends to $25/every day. It doesn’t seem very inclusive to do this. We are a neighboring community that has several homes with Lake Forest addresses as well. I have 3 children. We enjoyed going to the beach on a weekday when little to no people are there and you are now charging me $100 to go to the beach for an hour?? We live 15 minutes away! Why make it so expensive for neighboring communities to enjoy some time on the beach? This makes me so disappointed. The parking situation already made non residents walk two miles to get to the beach and back. This change speaks volumes on the values your community upholds and it’s sad and disappointing...

Very disappointed in our experience. We've just moved to the Chicago area and traveled to this "public" beach to be told at entry that we weren't allowed to park there, and it's for residents only. After reading other people's reviews of this beach, it's frustrating to learn we could have paid to park for the day, although you should not have to pay $25 to park at a "public"...

For years, this has always been my favorite park on Chicago's lakefront, especially during fall colors and even during winter for a brisk hike along the switchbacks. If you're not a Lake Forest resident (with the windshield sticker) it's worth the gamble of a parking ticket from LFPD and/or think creatively about how to enjoy the park without having to...

Ok so this place is really nice looking and really clean. You're supposed to be a resident or pay if you're not. They say that they have authorities come to check if you're a resident or not. It was pretty empty when we went there. A whole big beach just sitting there. They are in the process of rebuilding/ repairing the beach/ area. HOWEVER, THEY DO NOT ALLOW PETS!

As a first timer visitor at Forest Park. I was so overwhelmed on how this 🌎 still behold beauty. I had the best time, I'm working on my next visit before the winter. Friendly people and staff members made it welcoming for visitors to enjoy and relax. Thanks to all those that made it possible!

Had a wonderful experience discovering the North East Corner of the park with the secret stone bottom bench, a one of a kind in the city stone bottom bench has history and a great view east.
