This ramp is free which in my opinion is the reason why I would call this launch ramp the best one in Havasu the main issued problem at this ramp is on spring summer and all the other warm season Holliday's the ramp fills by 11:30a.m-12:00p.m and this ramp needs the alegie wire brushed off the ramp because it's way to slick and your vehicle can loose tractions and you can end up a little to deep in the water for some vehicles so you got to put the peddle to the metal and get the alegie off by spinning your tires that seems to work for the driver's of my group Everytime where I've seen other people not put the pedal to the metal and end up in the lake you could also bring your own with brush and give the alegie a quick run over which wouldn't take you more than...
Read moreThe good part is it's free. It's fairly protected from wind because it's between a building and a hill. There are plenty of dumpsters so bring your trash back to the launch and plenty of room to wipe down and pull the plug. The bad starts with no control so everyone can do what they want which is okay most of the time, but some don't know what they are doing or etiquette to get done and move on. Next, the ramp is steeper than the rest, go slow backing in or your truck will also be a boat. The algae isn't cleaned off and since there is shade all afternoon it doesn't dry out. Wear shoes with traction or plan on falling. 4wd is almost mandatory to get a boat out of the water. Have fun, but...
Read moreI launched at this site for the very first time late Saturday afternoon. Even at this time, it was busy. There are 3 lanes. If someone inexperienced is launching, there may only be room for 2. I launched fine and luckily when I trailered back up, I was able to get the middle lane. The side lanes can be slippery as I witnessed even large, beefy trucks have their tires spin, causing tons of smoke and giving a great show to the multitude of people who bring their chairs just to come and watch. If you're experienced, you shouldn't have any problems. If you're new, spend the $20 and launch at the marina. A lot easier and you won't have a crowd watching and waiting for you to...
