Sunset Park — Attraction in Lake in the Hills

The parks are large, we attended our grandsons soccer game. The park district will at some point need to re-evaluate parking for the facilities used. On one side of the road which leads to LITH public works facility (where the soccer field was) parking was a distance at their shop. I started going to Sunset Park when I was 8. Since then I've played many baseball and soccer games there. The fields look great and you can get great pictures of the sunset and everything around. The Ribfest that's held every year and all the festivities are great. Tons of space so even when crowded people aren't on top of each other. Great noce size splash pad for kids with shady grass area for picnic as well as some tables and benches under a roof. Clean, maintained port-a-potties. Across the large parking lot a nice playground for kids with lots of activities.
