Gorgeous little trail with some relatively steep points that leads to creeks, little bridges, and numerous other trails in Tryon State Park. Parking is free at the trailhead, but semi-limited as it's residential. Bustling area, lots of hikers, joggers, and dog walkers at least on weekend, and throughout the day. Well maintained and heavily wooded, remaining cooler than the surrounding area with lots of options for desired distance and difficulty.

Such a gorgeous hike! It's peaceful and quiet, you'll forget it's in the middle of a busy city. The trails are easy to follow and there's plenty of different ones you can go on to. There's a lot of bridges also, with benches throughout. Just remember which way you're going, it's easy to get a little lost, but there's good cell service making it easy to look it up on your phone. I felt pretty safe going solo as a woman. I really enjoyed it!

I'm not a huge hiker that's why I loved that they had a few tails to fit the more experienced hikers. It was my 1st time on red fox trail , I had gone to the Tryon creek trail for years, but ohhhh my gosh this TED FOX TRAIL was so much more beautiful than the other side of this vast land of trails

I love Tryon Creek! The trails are all loops, so you can go as far or short as you would like; though this trailhead is a little steep, there are lots of flatter paths throughout the park, so you can go at a level that suits you. It's super beautiful and the whole place is shaded, which is nice when it's hot. It can get crowded, but there is enough space for everyone, and it never seems too crowded. When you do go on the trails, remeber to stop and listen to the birds singing - there are...
