Broemmelsiek Park offers a plethora of recreational activities for individuals and families alike. The fishing lakes provide an opportunity for anglers to unwind, and the picnic areas are perfect for enjoying a meal in the great outdoors. Additionally, the park's dog-friendly trails allowed me to bring my furry companion along for the adventure.
While the park's natural beauty is its main attraction, some visitors might find the lack of facilities a slight drawback. There are restrooms and picnic areas available, but additional amenities like water fountains or food concessions could enhance the overall experience.
Although the trails are well-maintained, some visitors may find the trail signage a bit confusing or insufficient. Improved and clearer trail markers would be helpful for first-time visitors, ensuring they can navigate the trails with ease.

Read moreBroemmelsiek Park has something for everyone! There are multiple playgrounds, near each one is a shelter with picnic tables. If you are into fishing there are several lakes for you to choose from. Have a horse? Looking for a beautiful low traffic place to ride? Look no further than Broemmelsiek. This park has a parking lot at the trailhead just for horse riders. The lot is designed for easy unloading, parking, and reloading. All trails are clearly marked and have lots of shade and scenery. It's a great place to come to enjoy the outdoors, bird watch, see deer--I saw five of them during my last visit just wish I'dve had my camera at the ready(darn). I'm the proud parent of a very sweet very active Catahoula Leopard Dog so my favorite area is the Canine off-leash area, located appropriately on Canine Drive. It has a very large shelter with lots of benches, a large pond with a cramped dock for fido to run and ju.p into the water. It has shade trees and benches around the pond. There is also a water spigot with a diverter so you can use spigot to fill a bottle or bowl with water or use the diverter to make water come out of the hose to bathe your dog after his swim in the lake before he gets in your car. There is a picnic area for individual families to enjoy a private picnic. It's a great place to spend the day or...
Read moreThis was such a nice park, much bigger than I anticipated. My five year old loved the playground and wanted to stay all day. The off leash dog park is a bit away from the main playground area, but there there was plenty of room to walk my dog and lots of shade for him to rest and watch her play. Lots of pavilions and bathrooms, there’s water access at most of the pavilions and there are smaller playground areas and swing sets scattered throughout the park. Playground has a very soft material (no wood chips). It’s newer and has a lot of cool features. Park was clean. I just wish we lived closer to this park but it was worth the drive on a...
