Sunset Beach Park — Attraction in Lake Stevens

LAKE STEVENS RUINED SUNSET COVE. ITS A JOKE NOW! There are 6 screws in each garbage plastic panel on the dock that can easily be removed and destroyed. Part of the dock is already burned and ruined. The plastic dock hurts your feet and is very flimsy. The ladders can be pulled put and are a terrible design. The ladders pinch feet and hands of people trying to climb them. The ladder bolts can be taken out with a pair of pliers and were only finger tight and very wobbly. A serious design flaw and very dangerous! They have removed all lounging area and it is no longer a fun comfortable place to be. People will now have to congregate on the dock and be in the way of all the people who want to swim. The small beach access is a joke. There's not even sand! The one solid thing you've done is add a life vest on the side. But you could have done that without mucking up...

I really enjoyed my visit to this park, mostly for its low-key atmosphere and quality swimming/wading area. Pros: it's a small space, so not a ton of people there. It's a no kids alone zone so kids and teens are well-supervised. The water/swim area is clean and well marked, and there's a dock for jumping off/sunbathing. A reasonable amount of shade is available. Cons: this is a very small park, so the grass and parking area fills up quickly. The hill leading down to the water is fairly steep, as are the stairs. The BEST LAKE! For everyone!! Adults, kids, pets. As long as you get there early! There is only about 6-8 parking spots, (free) which is PERFECT!! This area isn’t big at all and it can not get crowded due to the limited parking spots, and there is no parking close by. The water is amazing, there is a picnic table and a grassy area as well as a dock!
