Peterson Beach Sleeping Bear Recreation Area — Attraction in Lake Township

I went to Peterson Beach with my daughter and dog and we were met by a girl who said she was an intern from Ann Arbor. Her name was Natalia and she said “she’s protecting the birds” and told us to leave. The website and “Bring Fido” app mentions dogs are allowed on the left of the boardwalk (which we were) and she said they are not even after showing her the info. When I was there. ..almost desolate. Absolutely stunningly clean beaches and with vivid shades of blue in the water that only northern Michigan and Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore has. Beach is beautiful but, 2 drunk obnoxious women with a chocolate Weimaraner that don’t know how to use a leash are going to ruin someone’s experience.
