Read moreWe visited Point Betsie in March on a cold spring day. The beach was beautiful, the waters were turquoise, the wind was strong, but the views were incredible. As you can see, we basically had the whole beach to ourselves. The rock picking was incredible this time of year since there are not beachgoers yet. We only ran into about 4 people the hour we were there, searching for their own rock treasures, too. All were polite and said hi, one stopped to have a conversation and show us some he found. There is almost no parking, so if you're visiting in the busy season, I'm not sure how that works itself out. We parked on the street, but we were unsure if we could do that during the summer.
