The grounds at this park are beautiful and the trails are so versatile. They have part of a paved path, but most are dirt. The trails wind through the woods mostly lined with pines and have some nice hills, while some of the other trails are more flat. They have nice wooden bridges to walk over and boardwalks over several swampy areas which are so cool to walk over! They also have some nice little to medium streams which are fun for kids to play in. If it has rained lately, some areas can be pretty muddy, so wear boots. You can catch glimpses of frogs, deer and many birds. They have a bird watching area, a flower garden area with brick pathways. The flower garden area is great to visit in the spring when their flowers bloom. They also have ponds that you can fish in too! It is a dog and kid friendly park area. They having bike and horse trails too! At the main hub The Manor House and garden area, as well as the pond area they have a portable restrooms. They also have several picnic benches scattered about or bring your own blanket for a picnic. There are many photo opportunities on these grounds for special occasions like family photos, graduation, wedding or maternity pictures. The trails are kept up well and it is great to walk the trails no matter what season, however fall is exceptionally beautiful! If you want a little quiet nature break, try...

Interesting place. Went for Thursday night music and had one hell of a great time! Musicians play "dealers choice " so song may be old hillbilly, Appalachian, Texas country, modern country, Tom Petty, a John Denver song, a Johnny Cash song, maybe an original Hank Williams, maybe a spiritual, maybe a hymn, maybe ANYTHING! BUT THESE AMATEURS HAVE TALENT! Clapping and foot stomping and singing along is allowed! So let's have a great time for a couple hours!

My ancient staggering old almost 90 yr old dad sang these ancient heartbreak songs that 99% of the people.never heard before and the gals screamed with delight!!! Dad wanted to sing 'Annie's Song' but I told him you should hear these people when you play those ancient songs....I told him I didn't think any of them had ever heard them.before!!! So.he played 4 more!!!! And he was greeted with glee and applause every time!!!!

You just never know what you'll hear but guarantee a live performance for free will have you wanting more! I will be back as it truly is a great time for just a one dollar...

This was my first visit and I felt it was very well taken care of, clean, we hiked the purple trail (their color coded as there's several of them) and stopped at the playground and pond. Pond looks overly green perhaps from algae (that didn't stop a guy from fishing) but I noticed their building a little creek so their making additions. Great for kids. I like the herbal garden as it's well explained. I'm sure it was better looking over the summer compared to end of September. There's signs, directions, and maps everywhere. Noticed the park ranger patrolling the area. It feels upscale to me (I guess that depends on where you live and what your used to). Their Facebook page has multiple posts for events for adults and children. Last one was horseback riding, vintage sale, music night, tours of the 1929 H.B. Stewart Manor home, etc. They appear to reach out to the community and it's a nice, peaceful enjoyable park. I defiantly...

This park has tons of hiking, you can literally spend a whole day here. If you do, bring some sun screen and bug spray as some trails are out in the open, while others do offer more shade. This place gets lots of visitors and some trails are shared with bikes and horses, so be careful if you're on foot. The horse and bike trails are clearly marked. Also, some trails (red trail) can get very muddy and flooded. So bring water resistant shoes and pants you don't care about getting a little mud on. This is a nice place with a good amount of wildlife and there are some very serene spots off of the purple trail on the boardwalk. The trails are extremely well marked with a map at literally every head/connection spot and you can follow your path on google maps. You can't get lost here.

This park has such a unique and calm captivating beauty. Its been my favorite for over 10 yrs. I wish I could one day get married here. The garden is out if this world. Wish they'd get the stone lions head fountain going. The nature rehabilitation center offers a glimpse into its gorgeous wildlife. The rivers and meadows along the trails are breathtaking. It also has a spot for youth fishing and a playground. The trees and fields next to the garden look like an orchard. This is the perfect time of yr to go. The large historical house has tons of age history and beauty as well. They did a great job on the rock garden and I just can't ever leave with out visiting the wishing well. Highly recommend
