Our recent visit to Bok Tower Gardens was nothing short of enchanting, a journey through lush gardens, historic landmarks, and the harmonious melodies of nature.
As we entered the gates, we were greeted by the majestic Bok Singing Tower, standing tall against the Florida sky. Its pink and gray marble facade adorned with intricate carvings, a testament to the rich history and artistry that defines this remarkable place.

Read moreVisiting Bok Tower Gardens in Lake Wales, Florida, is like stepping into a lush, serene oasis. From the moment I entered the gardens, the tranquility and natural beauty were overwhelming. The highlight of the visit was undoubtedly the majestic Singing Tower. Its intricate pink and gray marble and coquina stone architecture towered impressively against the backdrop of blue skies and lush greenery. The tower’s carillon bells provided a melodious soundtrack that enhanced the peaceful atmosphere of the gardens.
Strolling through the various garden paths, I was surrounded by vibrant flowers and extensive collections of native plants, including the strikingly beautiful Southern Magnolia ‘D.D. Blanchard’. The well-maintained landscapes offered numerous picturesque spots perfect for a leisurely walk or a peaceful rest. One of the most captivating views was a pond dotted with water lilies, reflecting the surrounding flora and clear skies—a perfect spot for reflection and photography.
The garden’s design invites leisure and exploration, with charming nooks and expansive views. Each path led to new discoveries, from elaborate garden designs to quiet seating areas underneath sprawling branches. The tranquility of the gardens makes it an ideal destination for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and reconnect with nature.

Read moreWow, just wow this place is fantastic we were in awe at how much to see and do here. It's so rich in history and nature. You can easily blow a whole day here walking around different trails. To start, they have a nice sized gift shop, a Cafe that had delicious sandwiches, wraps, salads etc... Then across the way there's a Museum which is beautifully laided out. This is just the beginning. The grounds are about 157 acres so the ventures start after you pass the cafe and museum. There are numerous trails and sun trails that interconnect and lead you all over. If paid for you can get a guided tour of the Mansion, however if you haven't there is much more to see like the Bok Tower itself. Along the way there are beautiful and creatively placed flowers, plants tree and the likes to view and take in. There are plenty of bench along the trailers to sit and soak up nature. Once up at the tower, there is a huge grassy knoll to picnic, relax or just gaze upon which over looks farm lands and the distant city. It almost seems like you are up in the mountain, it's so serene. There are also kid centric area with playground type of fixtures, and even a hammock snuck up in there. The map to get around is super useful and you may even come across little trails or nooks in the woods to discover, like a platform with 2 chairs that overlooks trails and garden. Like I said there is so much to do and it is tough to get it all done in an afternoon. We certainly will be coming back. If you are in the area or looking for something nature-esq to do or somewhere to bring the kids, I highly recommend a...
