Islamic Center of Lakeland — Attraction in Lakeland

Me and my Husband stopped by to pray while traveling, doors were locked but I noticed in other reviews you can get it through the google chat or face book page by simply leaving a message, in our case there was one guy there that kindly gave us the code! This masjid is huge and beautiful mashallah. For starters there is a huge lot to park in I read a review of someone inquiring if you can fit a semi truck and you can probably for 4! There is a wudu area, plenty of bathrooms and many books to read while you’re there! The only reason I’m giving 4/5 starts is because I noticed an insane amount of love bugs all around the property and infront of every door it just makes me think pest control could have been neglected for a while and needs to visit soon. As a new revert I would not advise to go to this masjid. The sisters here are very bossy. I sat in the back bc I'm unsure on how to pray and felt much more comfortable being in the back. A sister repeatedly kept bothering me to move up more and more. The Iman is wonderful and I enjoyed his message just wish I could have listened in peace!

Update: I went back to this mosque to enjoy Iftar and the EXACT SAME SISTER cut in front of me in the line. No excuse me or anything. Just walked up and stood in front of me to grab food.

This is the only masjid ( mosque) in Lakeland. I like it personally due to the not crowded people like the popular once( Tampa and Orlando) as of today ( June 13, 3016) Ramadan, and right now, it's fatuor time ( 8:26 P.M) there are not a lot of people here.
