A quick drive from anywhere in Lakeville and positioned right next to the freeway. It's a small, fenced dog park with a section just for small breed dogs, as well. The paths were not mowed but beaten down just by foot traffic. Some of the paths had mulch over the path but it was mostly soggy and muddy in those areas. (We have had a Lot of rain lately) the water trough is located outside the fenced in dog area so to fill water bowls (which have been left by previous visitors) you have to exit and come back in. Because no area is mowed there isn't any large open areas to throw a ball long distance. There is also no swimming area or pond for the dogs to cool off which is a bummer since the park itself is so close to the lake. Overall an ok park to take the dogs to run some energy off.

One of the best areas to hike i have found in Minnesota, close to Burnsville anyway. It is a beautiful path with many turns so you can mage the hike longer or shorter as you see fit. It is well maintained, but you still feel immersed in nature. It is not a beginner level paved hike, but more of a trimmed trail, I'd say upper beginner to lower intermediate level. Absolutely stunning views, especially at dusk.

Recently moved to the area and glad I found this place! Smaller but still decently sized dog park. Well maintained and people are very good about picking up after their dogs. People and dogs are generally friendly and well behaved. Have yet to see a dog fight or aggressive dog. Lots of people do bring their kids, but all the kids I've seen have very good dog manners. No water for swimming which is great so your dog can stay dry - there are plenty of other options for that within a ten minute drive! And no fee which...

We have been waiting ages for a dog park to open that was well-kept and interesting: here it is! Ritter’s fenced in dog trails are SO BEAUTIFUL, no matter the time of year. I especially love to watch the wildflowers grow and blossom as the summer comes in! Plenty of room to walk or run, and there are a lot of areas to either congregate with other owners, or go off and do your own thing (which is fabulous, because there are just some days I would rather only socialize...
