Joined to make more friends and find my Christian wife while on the narrow path.
Found a bunch of fake people and alot of divorced adultery situations trying to wrap me in.
After 3 to 4 years, I ended up angry, depressed, and more alone than ever. With large amounts of sin knocking at my door.
I ended up becoming very either distant and angry or immature based off the single never married groups either acting like marriage is forbidden unless you bowdown to your over expectations Jezbel type of woman full of false doctrines from books and mind controlling manipulation gossip for power control or one of the pastor feeding the single adults with cherrioes, ice cream, and lollipops like we were 5 year-olds with no concept of marriage or martial needs and if so not using any gospel at all while the men and women would bully and ensnare others into pitfalls. More clickey than a counter counting how many people are wolves in sheep clothing.
I spent most of the time trying to stay alive and not be devoured by wolves. Every attempt to get more invested in the people or church was a trap to fall away from God and His teachings.
This was my experience, I have left as of this April.
This is a great church to play Christian and lay low. If you want to get on the narrown path, be gun hoe for the power of the bibles teachings to change you, or have any actual experience with God, His gifts, or his spirit then this is not the church for you. They will think you are weird, crazy, and need therapy if you actually have a personal relationship with God.
The bible is seen more as a scholarly academic history class by most of the scholarly bible people i met, none seemed to have any personal relationship with God or His spirit but just wanted to be a scholarly historical academic person for the prestige, power, and affirmation/popularity
P.s. While attempting to be in full respect, I just can't with this last comment. They have zero dress code policy. I thought it was chaotically, ignorantly, disbelieving hilarious how they speak about their porn recovery, divorce, and sex addiction recovery classes being maxed out to the rims, putting the blame on the person struggling while they do nothing about the 16 to 24 year-olds coming to church In hot pink spaghetti strings (if any) tops and short shorts bright white mini skirts.
Are you serious? What are you, Shepards to hell or are you just that greedily desperate to max out your church while piling your sin upon sin to ensure your 10 pastors have job security?
I met with many pastors there one on one in their office to give feedback, reviews, and ask for and to give support.
Most were honest and have a servants heart but just need to put down the other books and really insert the bibles teachings specifically from Paul deeper into their hearts and get the wordly academic books they have as a crutch out. It's not a crutch of support its an anchor so we don't soar.
One or two pastors are full on wolves or have seared consciousness as the Bible says. One actually tried to scare and manipulate me through fear multiple times and then there was an spiritual altercation with him. He threatened me by saying he was friends with all the churches in Austin and he would ensure I wasn't allowed in any of them unless I did what he told me. He told me to only let him teach me the bible, that I could no longer read it myself, and that I am no longer allowed to talk or be friends with anyone who is a female at the entire church. This is after I asked a girl out for coffee at the singles group after she initiated a conversation with me.
The reverse should happen and man this man should be removed from his ability to ever be on a payroll...
Read moreGrowing up in China without know Christ...I came to the U.S. to start my college journey without knowing that was actually part of God's great plan for me. God is faithful to have always been there for me and placed me with the members from the Body of Christ in my path everywhere I turned, regardless I stayed close to HIM or not.
One of the people God placed in my life is Jimmy Yen, my husband to whom I married over 22 years ago. Jimmy grew up as a church kid, but rebelled and left God...How marvelous is God's plan to use someone like me not knowing HIM growing up to bring back Jimmy to the body of Christ. Our spiritual growth this year are so significant and has exceeded the growth in the last 20 years and a big part of that is Austin Ridge.
Just like Jesus met people where they were at...so does Austin Ridge....the Ridge showed me that God has given each of us different spiritual gifts which is our responsibility to use those gifts to spread his word and build his kingdom. Austin Ridge has so many programs which meets you were you currently are at...and they use the Bible to show God's plan for each of us....

They have been very welcoming and make you feel like you truly are part of a community, and encourage participation in groups and activities to help build Kingdom and also bring Christ and God into your life and heart in a real and daily sense.
I am part of a weekly men’s bible study group that also helps hold and bring that message into your daily life, not just on Sunday. It is fun and I look forward to the discussions and time with this group of men.
I really enjoy the Sermons and the pastors, and because it is a Bible church, they teach directly out of the Bible and let the word of God speak for itself without the modern interpretation and subverting of Gods’s word through modern societies ever changing values.
I would recommend Austin Ridge to anyone looking for a place to worship and who wants to bring Christ into their life and connect with the...
