Cabinfield Woodworking — Attraction in Lakewood Township

We are very pleased with the Champaign lateral file cabinet we ordered through Cabinfield Woodworking, a piece made by the Amish furniture makers, River Woodworking. I looked long and hard online to fine a cabinet that would match a desk we already own, that would look good, that would fit in a very specific space in our house, and that would hold all our files. We hit the jackpot with this cabinet. It is one of the best-made pieces of furniture we own, and we own some lovely, handcrafted pieces. The construction is of the highest quality, very solid, the drawer glides are smooth, and the finish is even and smooth. Perfect! The ordering experience was excellent, too. We had a number of questions that were answered quickly and some customization we wanted that was accommodated without a hitch. The cabinet was finished & delivered in the time frame Deborah told us, too.

As another reviewer mentioned, the cabinet was expensive, but not relatively speaking. I saw other much more costly handcrafted pieces online when I was searching for a replacement for a file cabinet we bought 4 years ago--one that cost a total of 1/2 as much as the Champaign file cabinet, required very difficult & time-consuming assembly, and began falling apart (pieces breaking off or not working) in short order. The Champaign file cabinet from Cabinfield is definitely worth the double the price of that junk we're replacing -- it is way more than double the quality, much more solid, much more attractive, all wood with good hardware, and came fully assembled!

This table-stuff is usually my wife's territory, but I ain't afraid to admit that I was smiling from ear-to-ear when we saw the table unwrapped. It's absolutely gorgeous!!! The wood quality is outstanding and much better than we had anticipated. The craftsmanship is unbelievable. Cabinfield met our very particular timeline, and the delivery process was timely and handled very professionally. To be totally truthful, the delivery man (Jake) didn't stick to his word about the delivery time. Jake gave us a 2-hour delivery window, but showed up 30 minutes prior to our window...how GREAT is that?!? What delivery company actually shows up early anymore? We love Amish furniture and have ordered from another seller in the past (after seeing furniture in person.) This time, we were going to order sight unseen (scary thought) and needed it delivered to us in Florida. When we called our old retailer we were told it was going to cost us thousands of dollars to get what we wanted shipped. After doing some research on the internet, and talking to Rachel in Support for Cabinfield (a number of times,) we decided to place our order. What a great decision! I can say, from start to finish, the service and support from Cabinfield was outstanding! All my trepidations were responded to with understanding and patience. When our furniture arrived, the person who brought it was amazing and put each piece together as if it was his own. The packing and unpacking job was meticulously impressive. We are so very pleased with everything about our dining room table and chairs as well as with our bedroom set.
