We ordered a replacement wing. It came packaged in a single layer cardboard that is not string especially for the length the box has to be to fit the wing. Of course it was broken because the long box would bend in shipping and the styrofoam wings would break. Contacted them for another, total of 3 replacements. We sent them photos to show that they were all broken in the exact same place because if the packaging not being strong enough and so long. They never changed the packaging. When I called and spoke with the owner, Marc, he spoke to me as though it was our responsibility that it didn't arrive intact, that there must be someone at the post office who was purposely breaking them (it is highly unlikely that the "person" would be at the PO each of the 3 times the packages came through and made sure to break them just at the same spot), that he can't keep sending them (doesn't insure them and wouldn't take input on stronger packaging). This all started well over a year ago. I the spring if this year he did say he was ordering a special box to ship it in. After more than a month later and not receiving it, I called again and he said he was still waiting for the box and went over the whole thing again of someone breaking it, "I can't keep sending them..." Nothing. BTW, it was near impossible to get anyone to answer the phone when I would call. My assumption was they have caller ID and just wouldn't answer, because after waiting several months again, in July 25 (now over a year later) I had no choice but to write a review about our experience. I received a call immediately from Marc, upset that I wrote the review, that I ruined all his hard work if 25 years, the same story of someone purposely breaking the boxes/wings, "I will send you another if you promise me you will take the reviews down..." Told me he would send glue so we could fix the ones we have "better than they were new". No apology for not having followed through on prior promises. Disrespectful. Speaking to me as though some how we are responsible... Now well over a year later and still haven't received the promised replacement or the glue. We are even at a new address, a different town where "that person" would surely not have switched jobs to, that I gave him in July to send to again and see if they end up arriving intact or not. Nothing. And interesting that I can't find my reviews. I didn't think anyone could remove another's reviews. I'm adding the following after the owner's response: He did say he would send the wing again to the new address, so of the course the item was still available, so contrary to what Marc stated in his reply, the reason for not receiving it wasn't because it was no longer available, but because he didn't want to send it again. He didn't want to take care of the customer. He didn't want to take responsibility for the improper packaging. It was never double boxed as products that are properly packaged with the content box inside a larger box so the inner is protected. The cardboard used had no strength or structure to it, and he chose not to insure the product. He asked me to be patient as he waited for the special box he ordered (several months prior). Not sure how much more patience should be expected than the months we had already waited. He said he would send it once more, but asked that I take my negative review down, that I was ruining his business... My review was written after his repeated broken promises, That is not how one builds a good business. We paid for a replacement wing not glue to fix it ourselves. If he ordered something and it came broken he would not accept glue as the replacement. The time between our contacts is not a negative reflection on us but on him. We gave him that time to follow through on his promises. Can't figure out how he can make the wings being broken in the shipping process an issue with the customer and speaking to us as though we are not entitled to the product we purchased. After a week or so,waiting for shipping details I recieved a call stating they did not have the boat in stock but it was on they way to the store and they would send me a shipping label so as soon as it arrived it would be shipped out! Well almost 5 months later with the only communication is myself calling to check on the status of the order, each time being told it should arrive and ship out in a few weeks! My last call was today 12/3 where Marc was very rude stating" he's not God and can't help that the factory hasn't shipped out the boat."
